Backcountry food storage is the difference between steaks and eggs in the morning and a shredded, bear-raided campsite. In this episode of the build, I walk through the exact food storage and safety setup I run in the back of the airplane — and why I trust just two pieces of gear to keep my food cold, sealed, and intact off-grid.
We cover the wildlife safety protocols that matter no matter where you fly or camp — bears, raccoons, crows, and squirrels all included — plus the three-point campsite rule for where you store, sleep, cook, and eat.
